The Vehicle Definition department within Product Development is responsible for analysing market demands, legal requirements and technological trends. Based on this, the technical project content in terms of vehicle performance targets and required vehicle functions will be defined for new vehicle development projects. Pre-development and advanced technology projects are also initiated and executed by the department.
Functieomschrijving
Based on the V-Cycle model, DAF PD has set up a Requirements Structure to improve the Vehicle Design process. Such a structure is essential for a transparent, efficient and consistent specification of the vehicle properties, the vehicle systems and its components. DAF PD manages these specifications mainly by (digital) documents.
The goal of this traineeship is to implement the specifications of a current Advanced Technology project in a requirements management (database)-tool DRIVE. The use of an RM tool (instead of documents) is expected to be helpful for :
- identification/communication with stakeholders
- requirements traceability
- requirements management (storage / change control).
The traineeship contains the following aspects:
- Evaluation of the DAF requirements structure (the so-called MetaModel).
- Implementation of the project specifications in the RM tool.
- Evaluation of the RM tool.
- Future recommendations.
Functieprofiel
For this internship we are looking for a Bachelor (HBO) or Master (WO) student Industrial Engineering or Organisation Studies.
