Vattenfall is Europe’s fifth largest electricity generator and the largest producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, the Benelux and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Business Division Renewables is responsible for wind power and biomass. Investments in wind power is an important cornerstone to deliver our road map and we plan, build and own wind farms in six countries, onshore and offshore. Investment in biomass fuel is key to further reduce the emissions. We have about 300 employees. We are looking for an Environmental Project Manager for our Business Unit Offshore Wind Projects. The position is located in Hamburg. Responsibilities Follow-up of document flow from and to the certification body Follow-up of consistence of referenced documents in reports from consultants, design documents of suppliers and statements from certification body Tracking and evaluation of remarks from the certification body Follow-up of internal approval of documents Verification of compliance of the contracts and the design basis (hierarchy of rules and guidelines) Follow-up, consolidation and preparation of documents for the BSH releases Preparation of concepts with regard to permit execution (waste management, buoyage concept, etc.) Analysis of meteorological and hydrographical data from FINO 3 metmast Coordination of consultants with regard to site assessment issues Preparation of regular meetings with the authorities, the certification body, consultants and suppliers Requirements Degree in Environmental Engineering, Biology or similar degree Several years of project experience High numerical and analytical understanding and accuracy Good command of SAP and MS Office Fluent in English, written and spoken At least intermediate German language skills and willingness to expand them Excellent communication skills Highly motivated and self-driven
