Vattenfall is Europe’s fifth largest electricity generator and the largest producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Benelux and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Business Division Renewables is responsible for wind power and biomass. Investments in wind power is an important cornerstone to deliver our road map and we plan, build and own wind farms in six countries, onshore and offshore. Investment in biomass fuel is key to further reduce the emissions. We have about 350 employees.
The department Project Development Sweden, is responsible for building up Vattenfall's portfolio of onshore wind projects in Sweden, ie. to identify and develop wind power projects to investment decision. The department currently consists of eight employees and as the business is in an expansive phase, we need to strengthen our team with two new colleagues who will work with us to developing Swedish onshore wind projects.
Responsibilities
As a Project Development Manager you are given the responsibility for several wind power projects in pre-study and development phases, until the construction starts.
The role includes managing projects and processes according to Vattenfall project management tool XLPM Wind, to ensure that projects are delivered according to time, quality, and budget as well as health and safety requirements.
Specific tasks include:
- Full responsibility for project planning, budgeting and result;
- Lead the project team to deliver analyses, reports and solutions for a permitted, long-term profitable wind farm
- Manage permit processes and public consultations
- Maintain good relationship with all project stakeholders, negotiate solutions and communicate project work to gain acceptance
- Secure new areas for wind farms and contribute to portfolio expansion
- Participation in acquisition and construction projects
Your qualifications
The successful candidate holds a degree in engineering or similar and has a demonstrable experience of working in technical development or construction projects. It is an advantage if you have previous experience from wind power and are used to handle permitting processes regarding environmental permits, building permits and more. Furthermore, you master Swedish and English very well orally and in writing.
As a person you are communicative, energetic and holds business acumen. Your personal qualities are of great importance, both your ability to build stakeholder relationships, to run your tasks independently and to contribute to team success.
