This graduation project is part of the Product Development department. You will be working at the Technical Analyse department.
Functieomschrijving
Goal is to understand and optimize the wheelbay geometry of trucks with respect to the aerodynamic drag, using flow simulation tools (CFD). A simplified geometry has to be defined (which details of the underhood?), as well as the simulation approach (for example: how to model the rotating wheel?). This will require an extensive literature study. The study should lead to practical design guidelines.

- For MSc students with aerodynamic subjects in their curriculum vitae
- Graduate project extends at least 9 months
- Interest and preferably experience in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
- Independent attitude
